Mold injection molding of plastic is a method of forming products through extrusion using an injection molding machine. The shape and size of the mold cavity determine the shape and size of the plastic part.
The injection molding of plastic molds includes the following steps:
1. Prepare plastic materials: Select suitable plastic materials as needed, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, etc.
2. Mold preparation: Design and manufacture molds as needed, including determining the shape, size, and structure of the molds.
3. Preparation of injection molding machine: Check the injection molding machine and ensure its normal operation, including checking the heating system, injection molding system, cooling system, and control system.
4. Melting of plastic raw materials: Put the plastic raw materials into the heating cylinder of the injection molding machine, heat them to the melting point, and then inject the melted plastic into the mold cavity through screws.
5. Mold closure: The mold is closed under the drive of the injection molding machine, forming a cavity and sealing the melted plastic inside the cavity.
6. Cooling and shaping: The mold cools under the action of cooling water to shape the plastic.
7. Mold opening and product removal: Open the mold and remove the finalized product.
8. Post processing: Necessary processing of the product, such as trimming, polishing, assembly, etc.
Injection molding has the advantages of high production efficiency, high degree of automation, and stable product quality, and is therefore widely used in industrial production. However, injection molding also has some drawbacks, such as the need for a large number of molds and injection molding machines, which result in higher costs; Meanwhile, the operation and maintenance of injection molding machines also require professional knowledge and skills.
