Stamped parts are formed by applying external forces on plates, strips, pipes, and profiles using a press and mold, resulting in plastic deformation or separation, in order to obtain the desired shape and size of the workpiece (stamped part). Stamping and forging both belong to plastic processing (or pressure processing), collectively known as forging. The stamping blanks are mainly hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel plates and strips. Our factory currently has a total of 40 small, medium, and large punching machines, as well as three laser cutting machines, which can produce various types of continuous molds and single punching molds.

 

Metal deep drawing is the process of using stamping, pulling rings, or metal molds to transform sheet metal materials into cylindrical or box shaped parts. Deep drawing is usually carried out on the anti wrinkle pressure plate of a double action press, which can effectively prevent the raised edges from wrinkling when pulled into the steel mold. Deep drawing technology is widely used in the production process, and it is applied in many industries. For example, it can be used in the automotive industry to produce automotive parts, and can also be used to manufacture household products, such as stainless steel kitchen sinks. Our factory currently has 20 small, medium, and large hydraulic presses, which can meet the production needs of various types of stretching parts.

1.The basic principle of stainless steel plate stamping process

Stainless steel plate stamping refers to placing stainless steel plates on a punching machine, applying pressure through a stamping die to cause plastic deformation of the plate, and ultimately obtaining the desired shape and size. The basic principle is to use the up and down strokes of the punch and the opening and closing motion of the mold to cause elastic and plastic deformation of the sheet metal under pressure, thereby achieving stamping processing.

2.The Process of Stamping Stainless Steel Plate

The process of stainless steel plate stamping usually includes four stages: material preparation, mold design, punching equipment debugging, and stamping processing.

1. Material preparation:

Select suitable stainless steel plates, cut and trim according to product requirements to ensure that the size and surface quality of the plates meet the requirements.

2. Mold design:

Design appropriate stamping molds based on the shape and size requirements of the product. The design of the mold needs to consider the elastic and plastic deformation laws of the sheet metal, and reasonably determine the parameters of the punching machine and the structure of the mold.

3. Punch equipment debugging:

After installing the stamping die, carry out the debugging work of the punching machine equipment. Debugging includes adjusting the parameters of the punching machine, adjusting the position and fixing method of the mold, etc., to ensure that the punching machine can operate normally and meet the requirements of the product.

4. Stamping processing:

Place the prepared stainless steel plate on the punching machine and perform stamping processing according to the product requirements and process specifications. During the stamping process, attention should be paid to controlling the pressure, speed, and stroke of the punching machine, and promptly addressing any issues that may arise during the stamping process.

3.Common defects and solutions in stainless steel plate stamping process

During the stamping process of stainless steel plates, some defects often occur, such as tensile cracks, wrinkles, and fractures. To address these defects, the following solutions can be taken:

1. Tensile cracks:

Tensile cracks are caused by excessive local stress. The solution includes optimizing the mold structure, adjusting the punching machine parameters appropriately, adding lubricants, etc., to reduce local stress during stamping.

2. Wrinkles:

Wrinkles are caused by multiple bending of the sheet metal during the stamping process. The solution includes adjusting the mold structure, increasing the support of the sheet metal, and improving the parameters of the punching machine to reduce the bending degree of the sheet metal.

3. Rupture:

Rupture is caused by excessive stress on the sheet metal during the stamping process. The solution includes adjusting the parameters of the punching machine, adding lubricants, optimizing the mold structure, etc., to reduce the concentration of stress.
