Aluminum profile powder spraying is actually a type of spraying. The powder coating is sprayed onto the surface of aluminum profiles or workpieces using powder equipment (electrostatic spray molding machine), and then under the action of static electricity, the powder will evenly adsorb on the surface of the aluminum profile, forming a powder coating. After high-temperature baking, leveling and fixing, it becomes a coating layer with various effects. This process is called aluminum profile powder spraying.
The purpose of aluminum profile powder spraying is to improve the adsorption and adhesion force on the substrate surface of industrial aluminum profiles, increase the corrosion and oxidation resistance of the surface of aluminum profiles, and improve the appearance quality and mechanical properties of aluminum profiles. It can also remove impurities such as oil and dust from the surface of aluminum profiles.
Aluminum profile processing powder spraying process flow: pre-treatment (degreasing washing chemical conversion washing drying) → electrostatic powder spraying leveling and solidification.
Advantages of aluminum profile powder coating: It can be automatically produced and produced using mechanical equipment. Aluminum profile powder without manual coating can be coated at room temperature, saving costs without preheating. Powder coating can be recycled and greatly saving enterprise costs. The coating can be freely controlled from thin to thick, saving coating times and improving powder coating efficiency
Standard for coating thickness of industrial aluminum profile powder spraying: not exceeding 40-120μmrange.
Aluminum alloy profile forming process flow:
1. Firstly, it is aluminum rod casting: the aluminum ingot is heated and melted, and a certain amount of alloy elements (magnesium, silicon) are added, which are cast into round rods with different diameters by a casting machine.
2. Aluminum alloy profile extrusion: The aluminum rod is first heated to a certain temperature to reach the critical point of aluminum liquefaction, and then cut, hot sheared, and sent to an extruder for extrusion. The desired cross-sectional shape is extruded through a mold. Then, there are air cooling and water cooling methods for quenching. The state of air cooling is T5, while the state of water cooling is T6.
3. Post extrusion treatment of aluminum alloy profiles: The traction machine leads out the profiles to the required length, which is cut by a hot cutting saw. The profiles are then moved to the straightening machine for straightening by a mobile cooling bed. (When the aluminum profile is first extruded, it is soft.) After straightening, use a fixed length saw to cut it, and install a transfer frame to enter the aging process.
4. Artificial aging of aluminum alloy profiles: Heating the aluminum alloy profile material in an aging furnace to a certain temperature and holding it for 2-3 hours can significantly improve the mechanical properties, especially the hardness, of the aluminum alloy profile.
5. Surface treatment: Anodize the sulfuric acid solution and connect it to the DC power supply anode for redox reaction. Then, a dense and porous oxide film is generated on the surface, and the pores are sealed. Aluminum alloy profiles will be more wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Electrostatic spraying utilizes the Faraday effect of electric current and electric field to evenly adsorb small particles of powder coating on the material surface. It plays a role in protecting aluminum profiles. Aluminum alloy profiles with surface treatment are more corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and have a significantly longer service life.
