There are three methods for programming CNC machine tools: manual programming, automatic programming, and machining center CAD/CAM.
Manual programming
By manually completing part drawing analysis, process processing, numerical calculation, writing program lists until program input and inspection. Suitable for point to point machining or parts with less complex geometric shapes, but it is very time-consuming and prone to errors when programming complex parts.
automatic programming
The process of completing part programming using a computer or programming machine is very convenient for complex parts.
CAD/CAM
Utilize CAD/CAM software to achieve automatic programming of shapes and images. The most typical software is Master CAM, which can program milling in two, three, four, and five coordinates, turning, and wire cutting. Although this type of software has a single function, it is simple and easy to learn, and the price is relatively low.
