Application of frequency converters

When starting a CNC lathe, the current of the motor will be 5-6 times higher than the rated value, which not only affects the service life of the motor but also consumes a lot of electricity. The system design will leave a certain margin in the selection of the motor, and the speed of the motor is fixed. However, in actual use, sometimes it needs to run at a lower or higher speed, so frequency conversion transformation is very necessary. The frequency converter can achieve soft start of the motor, achieve energy-saving speed regulation by changing the input voltage frequency of the equipment, and provide protection functions such as overcurrent, overvoltage, and overload for the equipment.
