Q3: What are aluminum alloy die-casting components?
Re: Aluminum die-casting is a type of pressure casting component that uses a pressure casting mechanical die-casting machine equipped with a casting mold to pour molten aluminum or aluminum alloy into the feeding port of the die-casting machine. After being die-cast by the die-casting machine, aluminum parts or aluminum alloy parts with the shape and size limited by the mold are cast. Such parts are usually called aluminum die-casting.
Q4. Do aluminum die castings require post processing?
Re: The surface treatment of aluminum alloy die-casting parts is divided into pre-treatment and post-treatment. The pre-treatment is to remove surface oxide skin and oil stains, increase the adhesion of the post-treatment, and improve the appearance effect. The most commonly used surface pretreatment methods for aluminum alloy die-casting parts include shot blasting, sandblasting, and phosphating, while the post-treatment methods generally include spraying, oxidation, electroplating, and electrophoresis.
Q5: Why is die-casting aluminum not suitable for anodizing?
Re: Generally, die-casting parts do not undergo anodizing treatment because the dense material aluminum extrusion, forging, and stamping of die-casting have many differences, and the silicon content is high. After anodizing, there will be a large amount of floating ash on the surface, which affects the quality of the anode surface, especially the die-casting aluminum ADC10 and ADC12 of aluminum silicon copper alloy.
