A radiator is a heat dissipation device that transfers the heat carried by the heating medium (hot water or steam) of the heating system through the walls of the radiator, mainly through convective heat transfer, to the indoor air. By dissipating heat through a radiator, the gain and loss of heat in the room is balanced, thereby maintaining the required air temperature and achieving the purpose of heating. Its working principle: When the heating system is operating normally, one side of the inner surface of the radiator is the hot medium with higher temperature, and the other side of the outer surface is the indoor air with lower temperature. 1. Cast iron radiator

The biggest advantage is corrosion resistance. However, due to high energy consumption, severe environmental pollution, heavy weight, poor appearance quality, low pressure bearing capacity, outdated production technology, and sand sticking in the inner cavity, it does not meet the requirements of energy conservation and environmental protection, and has been listed as a product that is gradually being banned in China at present.

2. Steel column type radiator

The appearance is beautiful and can have a curved shape, but it needs to be welded with different steel pipes during manufacturing. There are many welding joints and the welding joints are not easy to make. At the same time, due to the bending shape, the pipe wall at the bending point becomes thinner, which poses a hidden danger; The column type radiator relies on the outer wall of its column for heat transfer, with a small heat transfer area and relatively poor heat dissipation effect.

3. Aluminum radiator

Aluminum is used as the raw material, with light weight and good heat dissipation effect. However, due to its own characteristics, aluminum is not easy to process and manufacture, and its shape is not easily diversified. It is not easy to meet the high requirements for home decoration, and there are also certain problems in the welding process; Aluminum has severe alkaline corrosion. Due to the fact that most of the boilers and pipelines in the heating system are made of steel, the water quality is generally alkaline to protect the system. Therefore, aluminum radiators must undergo internal anti-corrosion, but the quality of internal anti-corrosion is difficult to guarantee. In addition, aluminum is prone to electrochemical corrosion with other metals, so it cannot be mixed with steel and copper products, and the content of copper and iron in water must be strictly controlled.

4. Copper aluminum composite radiator

The pipes in contact with the heating system water are made of copper and aluminum, with the outer wall made of aluminum. Copper is more corrosion-resistant, and copper aluminum has good heat transfer performance. But if the combination of two materials is not good for this product, the heat transfer performance of the two materials may not be good, and the heat dissipation effect may not be good. At the same time, the manufacturing process is difficult, welding is difficult, there are certain limitations on the appearance form, and product quality is not easily guaranteed. At the same time, chloride ions in water are prone to form pitting corrosion on copper; In addition, sulfate ions oxidize copper into sulfides, and the presence of sulfides in water is also the main cause of copper corrosion. Electrochemical corrosion at the welding site is caused by the potential difference formed by welding, and the copper pipe is relatively thin, which makes it easy to leak at the welding site.

5. Steel plate radiator

Made from steel, it is composed of a flowing part and a convection plate during manufacturing. The water flowing part is formed by welding two rolled steel plates, which have a large heat dissipation area and do not deform, making it easy to weld and shape. The production process is clean and environmentally friendly, the product has a beautiful and generous appearance, good decoration effect, high pressure bearing capacity, good heat dissipation effect, and can effectively save energy, meeting the requirements of energy conservation and environmental protection. However, steel radiators require full water maintenance during non heating periods, and currently, some heating systems in China cannot perform full water maintenance or due to human factors, the system cannot perform full water maintenance.
