1. Structure characteristics of ADSS optical cable
The ADSS optical cable has been produced from the structure can be divided into two types of lamination and center beam tube type, in which the lamination cable has a FRP strengthening core, the weight is slightly heavier than the beam tube type. AT the same time, because it operates in a high pressure environment, it can be divided into AT sheath corrosion resistant type and PE sheath standard type according to the electric field strength. ADSS cable features are as follows:
(1) Designed for the power system, is a fully insulated medium self-supporting overhead cable, its structure does not contain any metal materials;
(2) The fully insulated structure and high voltage resistance index are conducive to the erection and construction of the overhead power line with live operation, and do not affect the line operation;
(3) The use of high-tensile strength anti-fiber material can withstand strong tension, meet the requirements of the overhead power line, but also to prevent bird pecking and man-made shooting;
(4) The thermal expansion coefficient of ADSS cable is small, when the temperature changes greatly, the curvature of the cable line changes very little, and its light weight, its ice and wind load are also small.
2. Service life of ADSS cable
ADSS cable is set up on high voltage transmission lines, and its general life is more than 25 years, and there are many factors affecting its life.
The main factors are:
(1) The gradient of the high-voltage induced electric field near the pole and tower changes greatly, and the high-voltage induced electric field has strong electrical corrosion of the optical cable. General KV and below overhead power lines with PE type, 110KV and above lines with AT type;
(2) For double-circuit poles and towers, due to the power failure of the primary circuit of the line or the transformation of the line, it should be considered when choosing the hanging point;
(3) When the line passes through the working zone with salt spray acid gas, chemicals will corrode the cable skin, and its electric protection sleeve is damaged, and it is vulnerable to arc damage;
(4) Improper construction causes skin damage or wear, etc., in long-term high-pressure electric field operation, its surface is easy to corrode, and the outer sheath smooth cable can effectively reduce electrical corrosion and extend life.
