Product Description
Optical fiber jumper is used to connect the device to the optical fiber wiring link. It has a thick protective layer, which is generally used in the connection between the optical end machine and the terminal box, and is applied in some fields such as optical fiber communication system, optical fiber access network, optical fiber data transmission and local area network.
Structure
Optical fiber jumper (also known as optical fiber connector) means that both ends of the optical cable are installed with connector plugs to achieve optical active connection; One end with a plug is called a pigtail. Optical Fiber Patch Cord/Cable is similar to coaxial cable, except that there is no mesh shield. At the center is a glass core through which light travels. In a multimode fiber, the diameter of the core is 50μm to 65μm, roughly the thickness of a human hair. The diameter of the single-mode fiber core is 8μm~10μm. The core is surrounded by a glass envelope with a lower refractive index than the core to keep the fiber inside the core. On the outside is a thin plastic jacket to protect the envelope.

④LC type optical fiber jumper: the connector connecting the SFP module, it is made of easy to operate modular jack (RJ) latch mechanism. (Commonly used routers)

Attention to use
The transceiver wavelength of the optical modules at both ends of the optical fiber jumper must be the same, that is, the optical modules at both ends of the optical fiber must be of the same wavelength, and the simple way to distinguish is to have the same color of the optical modules. In general, multi-mode optical fibers (orange optical fibers) are used in short-wave optical modules, and single-mode optical fibers (yellow optical fibers) are used in long-wave optical modules to ensure the accuracy of data transmission.
The optical fiber should not be excessively bent and looped in use, which will increase the attenuation of light during transmission.
After the optical fiber jumper is used, the optical fiber connector must be protected with a protective cover. Dust and oil will damage the coupling of the optical fiber.
If the optical fiber connector is dirty, you can use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean it, otherwise it will affect the quality of communication.
1. Wipe the ceramic plug and end face of the fiber jumper with alcohol and absorbent cotton before use.
2. The minimum bending radius of the optical fiber is not less than 150mm.
3. Protect the core and the end face of the core to prevent damage and pollution. After removing the core, put on a dust-proof cap in time
4. Do not look directly at the end of the optical fiber when the laser signal is transmitted.
5. Replace the damaged optical fiber jumper in time when it is damaged by human or other force majeure factors.
6. Read the instructions carefully before installation, and install and debug under the guidance of the engineer of the manufacturer or dealer.
7. If the optical fiber network or system is abnormal, use the fault elimination method to test one by one. When you test or troubleshoot the jumper fault, you can first perform an on-off test. Usually, you can use a visible laser pointer to light the entire fiber link. Or further use the precision optical fiber insertion loss return loss instrument to test its indicators, indicators within the qualified range, the jumper indication is normal, otherwise it is not qualified
